Work

Sampling our new craft cocktail menu

A guest gave me this!

Yeah, my job really sucks

Little round up - what I've been up to

Paul called Bingo at The Green Parrot.  Always a fun event

I'm sorry to report that we get involved in the jello shots melee - if a certain number is called, everyone runs up to the front to get a jello shot.  Lol. Every time we're like "we're not doing the run" and every time it is called Patrick runs up. Ha!

Jean Thornton celebrated her 70th birthday down at the Truman Waterfront!

Before it, we treated ourselves to lobster rolls

Fabulous evening!

Our neighbour's invited us over for Iced Tea in their new tiki hut

I think we all know how much I love a tiki hut.  And this one is particularly cute!

Car bar et fini

And, done.  I said DONE Amy, DONE

Out with the old, in with the new

Red kitchenaid kettle finally died a death.  I ordered this new one at the cost of $80 (they ain't cheap!!).  It's funny to think that such a bog standard item/in every kitchen in Ireland (and UK etc) is such an anomaly here in the USA.

 Love these angels!

(Ties in nicely with The Saint theme lol)

Welcome to The Saint from our fabulous Front Desk team

Key West Pride 2021

Island House (men's only resort/hotel) opens their doors to women just one day a year, and for like just 4 hours, every year during Pride.  So of course I have to go lol.  Here is my post from the 2019 event.  None in 2020 of course due to stupid covid.

I arrived early and bumped into my work colleague Paul.  Soon after that Isabelle arrived too.  Good eats (nice hor doeuvres) and good drink (sponsored by Stoli, yay!).  It was a really fun night.  And then we were booted out at 9pm (one hour past the close of the event) and the resort reverted back to their men's only little private club.  Thanks for the hospitality, see you next year Island House!

Pool party, woohoo!

She is tipsy

She is a mermaid

Pain in my neck (literal)

Three weekends ago I woke up with a slight crick in my neck/pain in my neck and shoulder. The next day the pain was so bad that I couldn't lift my arms above my head to get dressed and I was in extreme pain getting in and out of bed (i.e. sitting up or turning on my side to sit up).

Since then, while it did improve of course, I still have pain.  To date I've gone for a massage and gone to the *chiropractor. I've been swimming in the pool daily.  But it is still not gone!  Every evening before bed is the worst, and I take two ibuprofen in order to sleep.

Am coming to my wit's end about it.  But I am also trying to stay hopeful and think positive.  Maybe it just needs time.  I've read online that neck/shoulder pain should not last more than month (it is a real problem if it does!), so fingers crossed!!
